Gathering at SAM Gallery brings together a variety of artists, mediums, and styles for a show that explores the idea of what it means to “gather.” To cultivate crops and harvest, to come together for an occasion, to put together a collection of artworks, to arrange or rearrange—gathering is a key element of creating connection by bringing things or ideas together.
