Friends of Waterfront Park invite you to the Grand Opening Celebration of Waterfront Park! Event is full of family-friendly programming and community connection celebrating the completion of Waterfront Park. Be part of this historic moment as the full 20-acres are activated for the first time, featuring performances, interactive experiences, art installations, a 21+ beer garden, food trucks, and more!

The grand opening runs from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Sept. 6 and features live music, parades, activities and tons of family-friendly fun. See all details at Friends of Waterfront Park site. Celebration activities include:

• Live music all day at Pier 62, Pier 58, and along the Park Promenade
• Two community parades between Pier 62 and Railroad Way South
• Family-friendly fun, including hands-on activities and games
• Immersive art & storytelling

• Pop-up street performances
• Accessibility Welcome Tour highlighting the accessible features, routes, and amenities of Waterfront Park
• Tasty bites and sips, featuring a 21+ beer garden on Pier 62
