Create holiday memories in downtown Seattle this season with holiday fun at Westlake Park and Occidental Square. All events are free and open to the public.

Westlake Park

Festive Friday Concerts
‘Tis the season for music and lights. Head to Westlake Park on Fridays in December between 4-5:30 p.m. for free concerts from local artists. Concerts will be held rain or shine. Featured artists:

Luminous Light Sculptures
Ever stood next to a 20-foot reindeer, taken a picture with a giant snowflake or hugged a candy cane twice your height? Stroll through Westlake Park and immerse yourself in the dramatic, seasonally themed light sculptures shining bright all season long. Westlake Park Lights are presented by Amazon.

Occidental Square

Sweet & Snowy Saturdays
Occidental Square in historic Pioneer Square is the quintessential backdrop for Seattle holiday memories. Stop by on select Saturdays for free treats, photo opps with festive characters, live music and – if you time it right – an occasional “snow flurry.”

Wintry Weekend Ice Skating Rink
Our winter classic is back! Lace up your skates and glide across our free synthetic ice rink, returning to Occidental Square for its second year. From Dec. 8-10, our pop-up 40×80-foot outdoor rink will welcome skaters of all ages and skill levels to take a merry turn on the ice. Skates are available to borrow for free. The rink will be open 1-7 p.m. on Friday and noon-6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Holiday Market
Finish (or start) your holiday shopping and support local businesses at this pop-up holiday market, hosted by the Alliance for Pioneer Square. Shop crafts, artwork and more from 40-plus makers under the cascading lights in the London plane trees.
